Our Mission – To develop a Drug Free Cherokee through a collaboration of resources for individuals and families affected by substance abuse through awareness, education, prevention, intervention and recovery.

Our Vision – A united Cherokee County that is healthy, safe, and drug free.

Drug Free Cherokee, in coordination with FOCUS, hosts two major events each year in Cherokee county: Cherokee Night Out, held in the fall of each year, and the Cherokee Anti-Drug Summit, held each spring.

Cherokee Night Out                                                     was held October 2, 2008 at American Legion Field
A Family Event that:
• Heightens crime and drug prevention awareness;
• Generates support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts;
• Strengthens neighborhood spirit and police-community and public safety partnerships;
• Sends a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

Cherokee 3rd Annual Anti-Drug Summit                                                     was held April 30, 2009
A Community Learning Opportunity:
• Designed to address the growing drug epidemic in our nation;
• Brings together law enforcement and social services to provide the latest information in the war on drugs;
• Makes resources available for prevention, alternatives to drug use, counseling and recovery services.
